Welcome to Clive Wood Limited, a family run business based at Hibaldstow near Brigg in North Lincolnshire

Our company was established in 1970 for the transport of potatoes from Lincolnshire's farmers to the wholesale produce markets of Lancashire using mainly 16 tonners.  In the summer when potato volumes were low the transport of bagged cement from a local factory filled the gap until the beginning of the new potato season and this practice continued for many years. Then, in the late 1980's, the company aquired it's first artic and made the initial foray into Immingham docks, one of the ports from which we still operate today.

Situated within easy reach of Immingham and Killingholme and only 2 miles from the motorway network, we are ideally located for your trailer movements in and out of these ports. Over 90% of the trailers leaving the docks will pass our location on their way to your customers. Because we are in the right place we can operate efficiently, with little or no unnecessary mileage and damage to the environment kept to an absolute minimum. This and the first class service we provide ensures our continued success and your first choice when it comes to traction services from the East Coast.

As an Owner Operator for almost thirty years Clive has a wealth of experience, travelling extensively in Northern Europe as well as the UK of course. He now runs the office from where he controls the trucks and  ensures the personal touch which many of his customers appreciate. In recent years the business has grown steadily and Mammoet Ferry Transport have become an important partner in our dry goods trailer operations along with Visbeen Transport, and our continuing role in the movement of chilled produce and frozen food on their behalf.
